Imitum Method

Meet the Imitum method - you will understand why it is so effective, its charm and uniqueness.

Understanding of the teaching principle

First, pay attention to the lecture “How to study”, which will introduce to you the Imitum method.

Lecture Selection

Choose any lecture and stick with it until you are able to imitate the pronunciation of native speakers and understand the text at the same time (see the next points).

Czech listening

You can use recordings as an ambient sound while doing something else to get used to the voices of native speakers.

Vocabulary

Listen and read texts with a literal translation.

Subconscious grammar absorption

Try to understand the situation and sentence meaning. Use your imagination to see the scene clearly.

Correct grammar listening

Listen and read the Czech text and repeat sentences after the native speaker - at first just in your head (voice of the native speaker is going to guide you).

Pronunciation training

As soon as you gain confidence, start repeating the sentences out loud..

Regular study

Watch at least 20 minutes a day. You may skip a day or two, but you should start a Czech lesson at least four times a week (2 hours a week).

Tips

Relax a bit after every session.

You don’t have to go through the whole lesson within 20 minutes, but you should always continue where you left off.
